I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love paranormal fiction. Add a little bit of romance and a little bit of intrigue as Frankie tries to figure out where her new necklace came from and what it can do, and you've got a highly entertaining book that almost feels like a coming of age story.

While Frankie is a little older and has taken on a lot of responsibility at a young age, she really seems to come into her own and find herself throughout this book.

I very much enjoyed this work and look forward to reading more about Frankie's journey.

Beth pulls the reader in to the story with amazing detail. Allows the reader to relate and connect with each character.

Frankie is a hard working college student who helps out her father mourning the loss of their mother and wife. She goes to a normal study with friends not knowing her life will be forever altered by a locket. She struggles holding together her friendships and losing touch with her family. She has to overcome obstacles and find herself. She finds herself losing a fight with her heart to fall in love. The locket helps her see the life and people around her facing loss.

She tries to run from the life she now leads but finds it follows her and has unsavory ways of pulling her back in. She starts to grasp and adjust to the rules of everything but hopes going through it alone is better. Until she meets another on the same path. What will she learn? We need to read book 2 to find out.

I loved this book and patiently waiting for the next one to come out.
*I want to thank the author for allowing me the opportunity to be introduced to her writing for free in exchange for an honest review.*

I really enjoyed the mystery in this book. I can't wait to see what happens and if Frankie is able to get the answers in the next book that I was waiting for in this book. I also appreciated how this book took me on an emotional rollercoaster - there were times where I was laughing out loud and then the next thing I knew I was feeling like my heart was getting ripped out. That may not be your type of book, but it is definitely mine - I was so invested in the story that I felt everything each character felt. I can't wait to see what happens next for Frankie. In case you couldn't tell, I highly recommend this book.
I received a free copy in exchange of an honest review through We love YA group.
I really liked this book it had likeable characters, (except the lead, that sometimes I just wanted to hit her for being so oblivious), an interesting plot that I had yet to see, some romance and a cliffhanger that made me anxious for more. The one thing I found fault in was that the writing was at times a little detached, so when something dramatic happened, I didn't really feel it. I don't know if it was intended by the author, but it left me a little indifferent about whatever happened to them. Also, it was frustrating how stubborn they all were sometimes, and how little trust there was between so-called long time friends. She made some (what I thought were) unpredictable decicisions at the end, which I really liked.
Overall, it is a very enjoyable book when you are into the whole "YA mistery/ fantasy" with just a little bit of romance and little drama (compared to the usual dramatic books).

Harvest is a very different book to other paranormal or supernatural books I have read before, and I found it very fascinating to read. The story reflects true life with a touch of the supernatural as well as including changing family dynamics and relationships, love, loss, and friendship.

The characters in Harvest are real and three dimensional, and Frankie, the main character, is very likeable, and I was able to empathise with her on many levels. Frankie is an 18 year old university student and she hangs out with her two best friends Alyssa and Cam. Alyssa is a great friend for Frankie and I liked her a lot. She also has her own issues going on throughout the book. Cam soon becomes Frankie’s love interest, and I didn’t like him at all. I just don’t think he’s the right guy for her. And Cam’s dark side rears its ugly head several times during the story which should be ringing warning bells to Frankie. The way their relationship was left at the end of the story was satisfying for me, however, I think there may be more developments between them in the next book. I just hope Frankie remembers Cam’s behaviour in the future when it really counts.

Harvest opens almost immediately with a mystery when Frankie finds an antique looking locket. There seems to be something unusual and supernatural about this strange piece of jewellery and things start to happen around Frankie which at first freak her out. She tries to hide everything from her two best friends and also cope with her studies as well as the changes happening at home, but eventually she is forced to let at least one of them in on her secret. With their help, Frankie tries to determine what the locket actually does and why she ended up with it, and why she has strange reactions when she is away from it. The intent and function of the locket was so unexpected I was flabbergasted! And I was completely stunned when I realised that something awful was going to happen around Frankie.

Harvest is really well written with beautiful descriptive writing and lots of attention to detail without getting bogged down. This book was very easy to read and had me turning the pages eagerly. After a tantalising leisurely pace at the beginning, about a third of the way into the story it abruptly turned and had me totally hooked. The unexpected twist at the end was perfect and there are several leads I look forward to exploring in more depth in the next book in the series.

I love that the story is set in Australia and the everyday things mentioned in the book were familiar and refreshing. Harvest was a very enjoyable read and I am really looking forward to the next book in the Frankie Harlow trilogy.

If you love books with a bit of romance, mystery, and the paranormal or supernatural, and you are looking for something different to read, you will certainly enjoy this book.
